Central Furniture & Appliances was founded in 1948 by Roland Couture with a simple goal: to provide quality home furnishings, dependable service, and honest value to the families of the Sanford area. More than seven decades later, that commitment remains at the heart of everything we do.

What began as Roland's vision has grown through four generations of family leadership. His daughter proudly carried on the business, followed by his grandsons, and today his great-grandchildren are working alongside their parents to continue the family tradition. Few businesses can say they have served their community across four generations, and we are honored to be one of them.
